MISS MARY PAUKOVITZ
- Now starting my seventeenth year at SSCM, I look back on a wealth of
educational and life experiences. While I started teaching even before
completing my bachelors degree, it turned out that I graduated with a
BSN from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Eventually, I did
complete the required coursework for teaching certification from St.
Xavier College, in Chicago. In addition, continuing education has been
and is ongoing.
As with my education, my professional experiences are many and varied.
Under the umbrella of “education” I have taught in grades two, four, and
five as well as in a day care program and substituted at various grade
levels, including high school. In health care and community settings I
have touched the lives of infants to those who have seen the passing of
many years, from witnessing the birth of new life to being at the side
of those moving on to eternal life. I have served in the more privileged
areas such as Beverly in Chicago at Christ the King, and in the needy
areas of New York’s South Bronx. As I grow in wisdom I can only be in
awe of the gifted experience that God has given me.
Just last year I put into print my personal mission statement. In all
that I do it is my journey with God that is the source and drive for all
that I call my daily life. More and more I am convinced that is God’s
gift to me, the gift that I am called to share.
