Dear Parishioners,

“We Remember. We Celebrate. We Believe.”

Memories are an important part of our life. They help us to hold onto and give reverence to our past. They preserve the wonderful stories and events of our life, and allow us to relive them with great joy. Memories are like mile markers on a highway; they remind us where we are at today, and how far we have come in our journey of life.

This anniversary book helps to preserve the memories of SS. Cyril and Methodius parish. This year we proudly celebrate 120 years of faith in Jesus Christ. Christ-centered is what we are about! Open this book and see many of the wonderful people of our parish. I hope you take delight in seeing the pictures and learning some new names. Enjoy the smiles.

It always takes a bit of courage to have our pictures taken. One wit suggested that if Mother Nature were more kind, she would have put all the warts and lines on the bottom of our feet. But who would want to erase the lines and mole on Lincoln’s face? At every age in our lives, a spark of inner spirit shows through and becomes part of the “ministry of faces.”

This book would not have been possible without the dedication of Becky Zintak. She saw it through from beginning to end. Thanks to Becky and her many helpers. Thanks to the publishers and their talented photographers. Thanks to all who helped to organize and edit the parish group pictures.

May this parish family album help us to look and live more like Christ!
