John Paul II Polish Language School
Who We Are: Our organization provides nurturing and support to our
Polish-American students and their families. Our Regular Members are the
parents whose children attend the John Paul II
Polish Language School. Honorary members are the parents whose children
attend the school and who take part in the organization of events for the
school. The school is run by the School Board of the John Paul II Polish
Language School. The School Board, the Principal and the teaching staff
operate on the basis of their own reputations. The curriculum includes the
following subjects: Polish language, Polish history, and Polish geography.
It is our belief that experience through Polish school provides students the
potential to become better people and citizens.
What We Are About: Our mission is to provide students
with a quality educational experience, leading to the achievement of
individual academic goals and life skills. Our school strives to
teach at the best of our ability, to build Polish pride, and to help develop
loyal and creative members of the Polish-American community.
What We Do: Our program is directed to the teaching
of speaking, reading, writing and thinking in the Polish Language. We plan
to also teach Polish history and geography. The Polish School has been
designed to enlighten and enrich students’ knowledge of Polish culture. It
also functions as an organization for students interested in exploring
teaching as a profession.
Who We Serve: Children above 4 years old are admitted
regardless of their nationality, race, or religion. Children should be able
to slightly communicate in the Polish language.
When We Meet: Classes are held on Saturdays in the
parish school building. High School classes are four hours long, from 9:00
