Respect Life Committee
Who We Are
We are a committee of parishioners, with an ongoing recruitment effort to expand active membership. We are knowledgeable about pro-life issues as we participate in Archdiocesan Respect Life workshops and attend various speaker events to stay updated on new programs and activities.
What We Are About
To promote and foster awareness of respect for God's gift of life fromconception to natural death.
What We Do
We implement programs and projects sponsored by the Diocese. Four major areas of activities based on the US Catholic Bishops' Plan for Pro-Life Activities are Education, Prayer and Worship, Pastoral Care and Public Policy. Some activities are: implement annual Respect Life Program from USCCB, sponsor baby shower for St. Adalbert's and the Crisis Pregnancy Center, sell flowers on Mothers' Day and have a baby bottle fundraiser for the Women's Center, pray at abortion clinics, provide pro-life literature, and inform parish of upcoming legislation.
Who We Serve
We serve the entire parish community, as well as St. Adalbert's Parish and crisis pregnancy centers.
When We Meet
We meet as needed to discuss upcoming activities; time commitment is flexible.
We Welcome
We welcome volunteers with a commitment to "respect life' issues according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
