School Board Goals

SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish in Lemont, Illinois

Policy

Goal #1 – Review, update, and adopt changes to the Bylaws of the SS. Cyril & Methodius School Board as needed.

Development

Goal #1 – Identify opportunities for grants, third-party donations, fundraising, etc.
Goal #2 - Distribute the timeless brochure on SSCM to the community.
Goal #3 – Ongoing recruitment of interested parties to work on development.

Technology

Goal #1 – Determine the current life cycle of existing hardware equipment.
Goal #2 – Establish a rotation schedule of necessary hardware/software for both computer labs and faculty PC’s.
Goal #3 – Determine the necessary hardware and operating systems’ investment for the next generation of workstations.
Goal #4 – Ensure the current Technology Fee supports the rotation schedule established by the Technology Committee.
Goal #5 – Review the software requests by the faculty to ensure compatibility with technology.
Goal #6 – Enhance and promote the current technology that is available to SS. Cyril and Methodius School.

Public Relations

Goal #1 – Increase the awareness of events and issues related to the school or parish.
Goal #2 – Promote the academic excellence, spiritual leadership, and reputation of SS. Cyril & Methodius School to others within the community.
Goal #3 – Monitor the Long Range Planning Committee’s activities, as developed by Father Larry.

Finance Committee Goals

Goal #1 – Work with the Principal and representatives of the Parish Finance Committee to monitor the annual budget.
Goal #2 – Develop and present the annual budget and tuition requirements to the day school families
Goal #3 – Formulate and refine a budget for the upcoming school year.

Legislative

Goal #1 – Monitor relevant legislative issues or proposed changes pertaining to Catholic education.
